EXIT Realty joins local agency EXIT Homeplace Realty to congratulate Stephanie’s accomplishments. Stephanie’s commitment to her clients and her result-oriented approach to Real Estate has won her many accolades among her colleagues. At 27 years old, having been in Real Estate for 4 years, Stephanie has used her background in teaching to educate her clients to make wise decisions in their Real Estate transactions. When it comes to Real Estate in North Carolina, Stephanie Gasparovic is at the head of the class.
Hampstead, NC is a fast growing community in southeastern North Carolina and whether you are driving North on Hwy 17 or South on Hwy 210, billboards to local new communities marketed by Stephanie Gasparovic will greet you. Exit Homeplace Realty was established in 2001 in Hampstead by Martin Evans, the first EXIT franchise owner in North Carolina. Stephanie joined EXIT in 2004, and since then she and her team, Stephanie Gasparovic & Associates, have contributed greatly to EXIT’s success.
Stephanie, an honors graduate from Towson University, remembers that her second grade teacher was her favorite—and a role model in her life. To this day, she recalls how much that teacher seemed to enjoy her job. This influential woman imparted discipline and structure, but more importantly, instilled in her a lifelong love of learning and teaching. When Stephanie became a second grade teacher herself, she served as a role model to her students, instilling in them essential learning tools as her own second grade teacher did years before.
Stephanie understands that knowledge is a powerful tool for success. Working with builders and investors keeps Stephanie on top of what’s happening in the market, including trends, pricing and inventory. She realizes the importance of her clients’ investments and the critical need for them to make informed decisions.

STEPHANIE GASPAROVIC
Technology is a passion for Gasparovic, so she’s invested in it heavily. Her Web site includes a pop-up window, asking visitors to chat with a salesperson via instant messaging. The system alerts Gasparovic and her associates when someone is on the site. That means they can offer help immediately. “The idea that we can capture people right then and there has been a big marketing tool for us, too,” she says.
FREE TIME: She likes being her own boss and the scheduling flexibility that brings, but she wasn’t prepared for how tough the business is. She and her husband, a real estate attorney, initially “lived, ate, and breathed” the business, she says. Then she learned to let go of some of the work, hiring buyer’s agents and an office assistant. “Now I’ve got weekends to myself again,” she says.
RESIDUAL INCOME: Gasparovic has recruited 26 new sales associates to her company, which gives her an additional source of income, because EXIT Homeplace Realty offers sponsorship residuals. Last year, those sponsorships alone earned the former second-grade teacher nearly $40,000, more than she ever earned in the classroom.

A few moments with Stephanie:
- How do you feel about being selected by REALTOR Magazine "30 under 30"? I am truly honored to be selected. I think this is a great achievement and I am very happy to have this much success under the age of 30. I’m very excited about what the future will bring.
- What would you attribute your success in Real Estate? There are lot of factors that have attributed to my success. My father was a builder growing up and my parents basically ran his business. I think I saw that growing up how successful he was and deep down have always wanted that too. I’ve always been very goal oriented and have really always strived to be the best in every situation. I really think my attitude towards life and what I do is what counts!
- Who in the past and currently inspire you to excel in your career? My parents and my husband have both inspired me to excel. I’ve always looked up to what kind of life my parents created for me and I know that is what I want for my family. My husband and I both are trying to excel and succeed at this age so we can relax and enjoy life in the future.
- Your marketing approach is quite methodical. How do you use the technology to market the various Subdivisions? We use the internet heavily to market our subdivisions. Each subdivision has it’s own website and is also a part of our team’s website. For each of the subdivisions, we profile the builders, the subdivision’s map, amenities and each of the floor plans. Once each home is completed, we make sure we upload all new pictures and do a video tour of each listing. This is an awesome tool for the out-of-town buyers who cannot visit the property in person.
- Exit Realty has a unique model of Residuals. How has that additional income helped you? Having residuals is such a relief at times. There are a couple of months here and there where I might not have as many closings as I would like. The residuals come in handy in those much needed cases. However, if I am having a good month, then the residuals are put aside for savings and future use.
- What advice would you give a young Realtor just starting? You have to have CONFIDENCE…even if you really don’t….act like you do!! Being young is an obstacle to overcome because a lot of people doubt your skills and knowledge of real estate in general. If you know your market area it makes a HUGE difference. I also recommend learning under someone who does have experience. All training is good, but the best training is working with a mentor who is actively engaged in the business. Go on listing appointments with them, meet buyers with them and attend closings. All of this helps tremendously. Also, ASK questions!! Knowledge is Power!
